Here’s a couple of shots of the ongoing deck construction/paint removal/repainting job I’ve been working on.

Despite wearing a respirator and taking other precautions to reduce my exposure to lead, I worry that my blood has roughly the same specific gravity as one of the Julio-Claudians. I’m also supplementing my blood lead levels with a healthy dose of copper arsenate from the decking material.
It’s not terribly unpleasant. Standing on the scaffolding in the newly arrived dry fall air seems as good a place to be as any.

Oh, gods. You do make me feel like such a slug. Haven’t even finished cleaning out the garage.
This is the perfect weather for outdoor projects or just sitting with your chicken.
